Here I have done the whole recipe in a pan as I don't have a tandoor in my house.Don't hesitate to utilize just garam masala or even chicken tikka masala flavor blend on the off chance that you don't have all the flavors for the marinade.

You can even utilize black-paper rather than red chili powder in the event that you experience difficulty discovering it, and can totally skip Kasuri Methi. Here I used red food color to bring the restaurant-style look, but if you don't have then skip this food color.

Ingredients

500 gm fresh chicken
1/2 cup of curd
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 tablespoon salt
4 tablespoon butter+2 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon ginger paste
  1.5 tablespoon garlic paste
  2 medium-size onion chopped 
  2 roughly chopped tomatoes
  1 tablespoon cumin-powder
  0.5 tablespoon coriander-powder
  1 tablespoon garam-masala powder
  1/2 cup fresh cream
  1 tablespoon red chili powder
  1 tablespoon Kasuri methi+1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  • In a bowl first, take 500 gm of chicken.
  • Now marinate the chicken with 1/2 cup of the card,1 tablespoon white vinegar,0.5 tablespoon salt,0.5 teaspoons red chili powder,0.5 tablespoon ginger paste,1 tablespoon garlic paste,0.5 tablespoon garam-masala powder. 
  • Now cover it and rest the chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes in the fridge. You can keep it as long as 24 hours also.
  • Next for making the sauce take 2 tablespoon butter in a pan.
  • Add 2 medium size chopped onion in it.
  • In the next step add 2 tomatoes roughly chopped and fry both of them in medium heat.
  • Add 0.25 tablespoon ginger paste and 0.5 tablespoon garlic paste in this mixture.
  • Also add 1 tablespoon cumin powder,0.5 tablespoon coriander powder.
  • Combine all of them well and cook it until the extra liquid is dry-off.
  • In the next step remove it from the gas and made a smooth paste in a mixer grinder and keep it aside.
  • Add 2 tablespoon of white-oil in a pan.
  • Now add the marinated chicken pieces in it.
  • Cook it for 5-10 minutes in low flame until it is tender and juicy.
  • Remove it from the pan and keep it aside.
  • Now again add 2 tablespoons of butter in the same pan.
  • Add the smooth paste in it and stir it for 5 minutes.
  • Now add fried chicken in it and cook it for 10 minutes in low flame.
  • Add 0.5 tablespoon garam-masala powder,0.5 tablespoon red-chili powder in it.
  • Add a pinch of red food color in it to make it restaurant like looks. (Food color is optional)
  • Now again cook the chicken at low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Lastly, add 1/2 cup fresh -cream,1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves, and 1 tablespoon Kasuri methi in it and mix all of the ingredients very well.
  • Finally restaurant-style butter chicken is ready.
  • Serve it with naan or kulcha or polau of your choice.

1. For making this delicious mouthwatering butter chicken recipe with step by step, first, take a large bowl and added 500 gm of chicken in it. Now I add all the spices one by one.
2. Combine the chicken well with 1/2 cup of the card,1 tablespoon white vinegar,0.5 tablespoon salt,0.5 teaspoons red chili powder,0.5 tablespoon ginger paste,1 tablespoon garlic paste,0.5 tablespoon garam-masala powder and marinate it for minimum 30 minutes. As I didn't have time, so I marinated it for 30 minutes. But if you want you can marinate the chicken overnight. Chicken made in marinate for long time is more juicy and tender.

3. Now in this meantime make the sauce for butter chicken recipe(step by step).For making the sauce first added 2 tablespoon of butter in a pan or kadhai. Here I used butter more than oil, as butter enhances the taste much more than oil.

4. Next add 2 medium size finely chopped onions and fry it for few minutes.

5.Next, add 2 roughly chopped tomatoes and cook it in medium heat.

6. Add 0.25 tablespoon ginger paste and 0.5 tablespoon garlic paste in this mixture. Also add     1 tablespoon cumin powder,0.5 tablespoon coriander powder. Combine all of them well and cook it until the sauce becomes thick.

Here I didn't use cashews, as I was not able to gather it during this lock-down, but if you have you can use it. It will make the gravy thicker as well as a creamy look.

7. Remove it from the gas and make a fine paste with the help of a mixer grinder. If the sauce is too tight then you can add a little bit of water in it.

8.Again add 2 tablespoons of white-oil in a pan or kadhai and add the marinated chicken pieces in it. Cook it for 5-10 minutes in low flame until chicken pieces are tender and juicy. Remove it from the pan and keep it aside.





9.Add 2 tablespoon of butter in the same pan and melt it. Adding the smooth paste in it and stir for 5 minutes.

10. Next, add 0.5 tablespoons red-chili powder in it and also adding a pinch of red food color in it to make it restaurant like looks. (Again here Food color is optional).Just for giving the looks I used this.

11. Adding the fried chicken pieces in the next step, cover it with a lead and cook it for 10 minutes in a low flame.

12. Remove the lid and added 0.5 tablespoon garam-masala powder in this and again cooked it for 10 minutes.

13. Before serving add 1/2 cup homemade fresh -cream(Recipe for home-made fresh cream is already mentioned above),1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves, and 1 tablespoon Kasuri methi in it and mix all of the ingredients very well.

  • For a restaurant like a look, you can use red food color. It will give an amazing look to your butter chicken recipe(step by step).
