Aloo suji cutlet recipe is an easy and simple fried tea times snack and cooked with boiled potatoes and other dried spices.These cutlets are tender with the outer layer and delicate and savory within its innermost structure.Aside from eating as the tea time snacks it may also be used for different purposes like chaats, sandwiches, and even for chapathi based Frankie or rolls.

Aloo suji cutlet recipe is one of my favorite and this the low calories cutlet recipe and I will teach you in a very simple way.Generally we fry cutlet in deep oil,but I fried it in less oil to make it healthier.I made it with some basic ingredients that you can easily get at hand.

Aloo cutlet is a bite starting from the Indian subcontinent; in North Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi readiness, it is made out of potatoes, peas, and different spices.It is served hot and warm along with saunth, tamarind and coriander-mint sauce.


In Mumbai, India a famous adaptation of aloo tikki is presented with a spicy curry and different chutneys.Aloo tikki is made with squashed potato patties blended with coriander leaves, peas and flavors, rotisserie in oil.Some North Indian dhabas will sandwich the aloo in bread.

In the United Kingdom, vegetable tikki is also available in different store counters at different shops.It is extremely well known in the East Midlands territory.In Delhi,it is popular as aloo tikki and different chaats.

While the aloo suji cutlet  recipe  is amazingly easy to get ready, yet I might want to include a few tips and suggestions before starting.When the potatoes are boiled in water evacuate them quickly and place them on a plate.Else it might retain water and you would not have the option to shape it appropriately.
Besides I have used rava to cover the cutlet but, you can use breadcrumbs instead of rava to coat it.Lastly if you want then deep fry it but here I fried it in less oil to make it healthier.

Ingredients

2 medium size boiled potato
2/3 cup rava or suji
1 medium size onion finely chopped
l tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped
1 tablespoon salt
0.5 tablespoon roasted cumin powder
Oil for fry
3-4 green chili chopped fine

Instructions

  • Firstly in a large pan take water and 1/4 teaspoon salt to boil it.
  • Now add 2 medium size potato in it .
  • Let the potatoes boil well. 
  • Now remove it from water immediately and let it cool completely.
  • Then  mashed  the potato well.
  • Also add 1 medium size finely chopped onion,1 tablespoon lemon juice,1 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped and 3-4 green chopped chilies.
  • Next add 1 tablespoon salt and 0.5 tablespoon roasted cumin powder in it.
  • Add 2/3 cup of rava and suji in it and mixed it very well.
  • Now keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  • It has to be made into round shape cutlets by hand.
  • Now take 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan and fried this cutlet.
  • Fried both side until it is golden-brown in color.
  • Now served  hot aloo suji cutlet with tomato ketchup.


How to make aloo suji cutlet recipe|crispy potato cutlet recipe(Step by step process with images):


1.Firstly in a large pan or kadai take water and add 1/4 teaspoon of salt in it and let it boil for few minutes.
2.After that process add 2 medium size peeled potatoes in it and boiled them.
3.After boiling remove the potatoes from water immediately and cooled it completely.
4.Now take a bowl and mashed the  potatoes.
5.Also add 1 medium size finely chopped onion,1 tablespoon lemon juice,1 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped and 3-4 green chopped chilies.

6.Mix properly and make sure everything is combined well.

7.Next add 1 tablespoon salt and 0.5 tablespoon roasted cumin powder in it.

8.Add 2/3 cup of rava or suji in it and mixed it very well.Here i used rava to make it crispy but if you have breadcrumbs,you can use that also.You will get the similar result in both the cases.

9.Now keep it aside for min 30 minutes.
10.Made the round cutlets with the help of hands.If you want to store it, keep it in refrigerator .It will good for seven days.
11.Add 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan and heated it in low flame .
12.Placed the cutlet in it and fried both side ,til the golden brown colors appeared.
13.Removed it and place it in a dish .

Notes:

  • Don't cook potatoes for longer time.If it boils for more time then it will not taste good anymore.
  • After boiling the potatoes remove it from water immediately and let it cool completely.
  • Instead of rava or suji you can used breadcrumbs also.You will get the similar result in both the cases.
  • If you want to fry in deep oil , you can fry.I have fried it in less oil to make it healthier.
  • If you want you can add vegetables of your choice in it.It will surely enhance the taste of the cutlet more.
